With its smooth, rich character, vanilla has a natural ability to soften and round out other notes, creating a scent that feels wonderfully inviting. At Abbey Perfumery, we use vanilla and other naturally rich ingredients such as tonka bean to add warmth, creaminess and a subtle gourmand richness. These oils can naturally deepen in colour over time, sometimes making a perfume appear darker (they can even appear red), but this doesn’t affect the quality of the fragrance – it’s simply part of the natural character of these beautiful ingredients. Think warm vanilla, freshly baked treats and settling somewhere cosy at the end of the day.
